In this newly created role, the Regional Director of Property Management will lead the property management team at multiple locations in providing superior customer service, team work, maximizing occupancy and achieving financial goals of more than 4,0 multi-family rental homes. Will also implement training & mentoring programs for site team members in a national portfolio; foster teamwork with renovation and new construction. The Regional Director of Property Management has full operational accountability. Effectively build dynamic teams, create strong morale and spirit in team, share successes, foster open dialogue and create an environment which team members want to do their best Hire the best people, review performance in a timely manner, deal with difficult situations, and treat team members fair and consistently Establish effective relationships with all partners and stakeholders Analyze and understand the competitive market and leasing process to maximize occupancy and revenue Continually evaluate expenses, contracts, and processes to find efficiencies Review financials with direct reports and ensure understanding Exceed the expectations and company values of internal and external customers Assure that company policies and operating procedures are complied with and consistently implemented Be knowledgeable of industry trends and provide input to development, design and construction to competitively position assets Required Experience 10+ years experience in managing a multi-site residential portfolio of at least 2,0 to 3,0 units with a professional property management organization. 7+ years directing a team of 6 or more. Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate or related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience. Residential Apartment Manager, Accredited Residential Manager or equivalent industry designation required. Certified Property Manager; Certified Defense Privatization Manager or active candidacy for similar designations strongly preferred. Proven success in budgeting, financial management, team development, performance management and leasing. Ability to problem solve and make strategic decisions. Demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible, and adaptable to new situations and assignments. Proficient in Microsoft Office and YARDI or other similar industry software. Ability to travel 50% of the time. Valid drivers license.
