Founded in xxxx, Custom Computer Specialists, Inc., provides a wide array of technical and consulting solutions designed to empower our northeast public and private sector clients to realize better overall return from their technology investments.  Custom’s unique combination of privately owned flexibility and extensive IT capability empower it to create client-centric solutions that deliver outstanding results.   We are currently seeking a Sales Manager for our New England Territory: A dynamic Sales leader to oversee our Education, State and Local government and commercial business.  This position will report directly to the Northeast Director of Sales.  In this position, you will lead a team of sales professionals and aggressively grow assigned territories.  You will work collaboratively with our Marketing team, other Sales Managers, the Director, CEO, and the Company’s practice leads to drive demand for Custom’s offerings; which ranges from large scale technology implementations, to comprehensive support programs, to expert consultation on emerging IT technologies, solutions, and trends.   The Sales Manager will possess leadership ability with the passion and ambition to continuously improve, grow and develop new and existing business, while leveraging their teams and others.  Successful candidates will have experience in team management; having participated in team selection, work assignments and mentoring, and will have been proactive in managing and improving sales realization and performance.   The Manager will also drive activity levels and participate in cross-company communication and collaboration.    The role will also be responsible for the selection of the right partners and manufacturers, will lead relationship building efforts, and effectively collaborate on joint marketing initiatives to assist in generating key results for both Custom Computer Specialists as well as for our partners and manufacturers.   In a sales capacity, you would be responsible for enterprise wide growth and identification of Major Accounts.  In addition to leadership functions, you would have an individual responsibility for account acquisition, management and relationship building, with a focus on accountability for account planning, forecasting, retention and additional growth.    A critical attribute for this position is the ability to leverage your industry expertise, to understand both the problems and the opportunities within each client.  The Manager will have proven experience shaping practice offerings specific to the needs of the industries and the clients we serve.  As a Sales Executive, you will collaborate with Marketing on events and planning, and also assist Marketing in the creation of Industry messages and appropriate communication.         We are seeking:   ·         10+ years of applicable industry experience including 5+ years in public sector sales   ·         A proven history of successful services, technology and consultative sales to external clients   ·         A significant network of industry relationships.     ·         Proven history of management of a sales team and attainment of personal, as well as team quota and goals.   .    ·         Bachelor's Degree Required.   ·         This position will be based in our Lincoln, RI office location.    ·         The regional focus for the sales team will encompass Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and the Metro Boston area including southern NH.     We offer competitive salaries, performance based rewards, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, flexible spending programs and a unique team of smart and passionate people who truly enjoy helping customers do amazing things with technology!       Please send letter and résumé including salary requirements in confidence to jobs@customonline.com.
