Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:
This position will report to an Environmental Manager III and will support that Manager in the execution of environmental due diligence on new and existing properties and on remediation projects. The primary responsibilities will include coordinating due diligence efforts, implementing site remediation plans, and ensuring the timely completion of remediation projects for all proposed and existing CVS Caremark stores and other facilities. The Environmental Specialist II will have a strong working knowledge of major federal and state environmental regulations related to Brownfield redevelopment, hazardous waste clean-up, building materials, and property transfer. This Environmental Specialist II will also be knowledgeable of remediation technologies and applicability to site conditions. Working with a Manager, the Environmental Specialist II position will interact with business partners and external vendors to identify environmental conditions that require remediation and assist in development of plans to manage that risk. This position will be a technical resource to the legal, real estate, and construction departments as well as all CVS Caremark facilities. Required Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in performing environmental due diligence and remediation. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing environmental cleanups for a large portfolio of retail locations. Professional Geologist Professional Engineer Licensed Environmental Professional Experience with retail construction Education:
