Job Location Warwick, RI Job Description MetLife Auto & Home offers an Actuarial Development program to eligible candidates. This program assists in developing actuarial skills and offers benefits that assist the employee in successfully completing exams and ultimately attaining Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society. The program provides for advancement and career enhancement based on individual performance and potential. Also, an Actuarial Rotation Program provides eligible candidates opportunities to master disciplines outside of pricing such as reserving, research and modeling, and financial forecasting. Functional Responsibilities: Gathers and organizes data; reviews rates, rules and loss experience to develop and implement rate revisions; Develops spreadsheets Performs univariate research. Participates in interdepartmental projects. Performs other related duties as assigned or required. The candidate will work closely with other pricing actuaries, underwriting, product management, and state management partners in the field. Job Requirements Required Competencies: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science or related discipline. Minimum of 3 years pricing experience with a property & casualty insurer. Preferred Qualifications: 3 or more CAS Exams (or jointly sponsored SOA exams). Fundamental knowledge of insurance products and actuarial terminology is highly preferred. Demonstrate the mathematical aptitude required to perform actuarial analysis. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel to include V/H look up, pivot tables and Access. Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
